How to resolve ‘Store | Samsung apps’ issue with new Samsung Kies?

Today I upgraded my Samsung Kies to 2.0.2.11071_128 Version. But after the upgrade I was not able to see Store and Samsung apps option on the left navigation bar. Without this I could not download and install any application from Samsung apps store. I tried re-installing it, problem did not resolve.


After lots of research on google, I found out that problem with the latest Kies 2.0.2.11071_128 not having the Samsung Apps store is as a result of either a corrupt “AStorePlugin.dll” or a wrong value assigned to this dll. The problem is only with the “AStorePlugin.dll”.

To solve this problem,


1. simply install the latest kies (either as a fresh install or an update over existing kies instalation. Restart PC.

2. Now go to C:\Program Files\Samsung\Kies\Plugins\AStore\

3. inside the AStore folder, replace the “AStorePlugin.dll” with the one from the download link below (or from any previous kies installation)

NOTE: ONLY REPLACE the “AStorePlugin.dll” of size approx 4,014kb.

(Don’t replace the small one of size about 4kb).

4.  That’s all. Now you can enjoy your new Kies 2.0.2.11071_128.

In case you face any issue, download again the latest Kies Version from here http://www.samsung.com/in/supp… and then replace the AStorePlugin.dll file with the one given above in post… It will work 100%…

    I have encountered a unique problem after I updated Kies yesterday to Kies_2.0.3.11082_152_4. App store link within Kies does not load the app store page. Get error ” A-store plugin cannot be run. Please try later.” This has happened on the last update 2-3 months back as well. I got the A-store plugin 3.21 MB in a zip file to replace the default 4.2 MB, it worked in the past ,but now get this error. I have tried uninstalling and restarting comp and install the older version of Kies Kies_2.0.0.11044_11_3 & Kies_2.0.2.11071_128_2. I have tried changing the country region from US to INU (India), using regedit HKEY_CURRENT_USER >Software>Samsung>Kies 2.0> right click on Region in the right pane> change US to INU. Still same error.
    Please send me an e-mail at magnum44pi@gmail.com if you have a dll file that works for you. I have tried the dll file you provided, it used to work on the last update, not on the new update, does not work anymore !!

Today when I tried to connect to samsung kies and post clicking on samsung apps I am getting a message”you are not able to  use samsung apps because plug in  has not been updated .Pl proceed with  the update for the plug in by rerunning kies”.I tried reinstalling the kies but failed.Could you please help me with a resolution

    In case you face any issue, download again the latest Kies Version from here http://www.samsung.com/in/support/mobilesoftwaremanual/mobilesoftwaremanual.do?page=MOBILE.SOFTWARE.MANUAL
    and then replace the AStorePlugin.dll file with the one given above in post… It will work 100%…

    This fix used to work for earlier kies versions however is does not work for latest kies version 2.1.1.11124_17 available on samsung website. Its gives the “You are not able to use samsung apps..” error and if i replace AStorePlugin.dll it gives “apps store can not be run” error. Registry settings (Region) is already set to IN… Pls let me know if any other solution is available..I am from India and as far as i know most of my friends are also facing same issue…

    using regedit HKEY_CURRENT_USER >Software>Samsung>Kies 2.0> right click on Region in the right pane> change US to Your Nation

    I am frm Bangladesh I need your help to fix my kies problem. I am using samsung wave 2. I don’t find apps store after installing latest kies as you mentioned in your site then I also download the file named AStorePlugin.dll frm your site then paste as you mentioned after then I open kies & i find samsung apps store at the left navigation bar then I click it for apps & then it wants to select my country then I select my country but it shows that ” apps cannot run please try again later.” What can I do know please give a perfect solution.

    - Click HKEY_CURRENT_USER to get a list of more folders
    - Click Software to get even more folders
    - Click on Samsung, then Kies 2.0.
    - A window to the right will appear, with list of REG_SZ+ files
    - Right Click on Region -> Modify
    - Set the Region value to GB

    If you have Kies opened, restart it by closing it and opening it up again.
